Welcome to Royal Crest Stables
Royal Crest Stables, A History
Royal Crest Stable first began with the notable Eldrich family several generations ago. This esteemed family mainly gained riches and power through trading and banking but their investments grew quickly as time progressed. Although the Eldrich family was profiting off of the horse market, (primarily thoroughbred racing and sales) a young man by the name of Harry Eldrich made the first advance into oriental breeds. He specialized in spices which led his travels to India where he came face to face with horses that stunned the young man. He eventually abandoned the spice trade opting to pursue these horses that had him amazed.
With a grand family fortune in hand he made plans for an extravagant stable to be built in Italy to house the horses that were to make his fortune. He employed the daughter of a prominent horse breeding family called Acharya to guide him around India teaching him about the arabian, akhal teke, and marwari breeds and what would bring him profit. When the stable was completed he shipped the specimens he had found over (with the exception of the Marwaris, which he employed his brother who was a well-to-do pirate to illegally export the horses to the stable) He stayed in India for another year to marry Ishara Acharya and took her with him to their new home.
Royal Crest Stables would have failed if not for Ishara and her knowledge of horses. The stable has always been passed down from generation to generation. It did not face hardships until it was handed down to Benedict Eldrich who had fallen into drinking habits. From there the prosperity of the stable dipped and many of the horses were sold and buildings abandoned to make ends meet.
Kali Eldrich who recently inherited the stable from his late father Benedict Eldrich is determined to set everything back to its proper order. With only a small family fortune left Kali has made it his purpose to restore Royal Crest Stable back to its original notoriety.
